MYRA GAGNON BOYER Millinocket & East Millinocket - Myra Jean Boyer, 44, beloved wife of John Boyer, passed away peacefully on November 4, 2004 surrounded by her loving family, after fighting a courageous battle with cancer. Myra was born in Millinocket on December 18, 1959 the daughter of Willard and Rinette (Picard) Gagnon. Myra graduated from Schenck High School in East Millinocket. She was a member of The First United Pentecostal Church of Millinocket where she also taught Sunday School. Myra is survived by her husband, John of Millinocket, her daughter, Shanna Mayfield her son, Aaron Mayfield both of Albany, California, her father, Willard Gagnon and his wife, Jean of East Millinocket; her sisters, Judy and husband Richard McClay of Bangor, Diane Gagnon of East Millinocket; her brothers, Lloyd Gagnon of East Millinocket, Doug Gagnon of Bangor, and Dan and wife Karen Gagnon of Arundel; a sister-in-law, Sharon and husband Dennis Boutaugh of Millinocket; a special sister-in-law, Thomasina Mayfield; special friends, Melissa Pasquine and Jack Marshall; her cats, Tigger and Callie; her many nieces and nephews. Myra was predeceased by her mother, Rinette Gagnon in 1997 and her first husband, Michael Mayfield. Myra will always be remembered for the compassion she showed others, and her beautiful smile. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her, especially her young students at Sunday School Bible Study. Dec. 20, 1985, at a Millinocket nursing home. She was born in Millinocket, May 31, 1915, the daughter of Augustine and Laura (Medicci) Mascetta. She is survived by one son, Frederick of Millinocket; two daughters, Maria Lynch of East Millinocket and Helen Owen of Manchester, Conn.; one brother, Americo Mascetta of Millinocket; four sisters, Helen Griffin and Elizabeth Psquine, both of Millinocket, Norman Mascetta of Bangor and Edith Harman of Portland; nine grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

She was a devout Catholic with a firm belief that everything that happens in life is God's will. She was born Oct. 28, 1941, in Millinocket, where they knew her in Little Italy as Cookie.
She graduated from Stearns High School, where she met George, the love of her life. They enjoyed 52 years together and raised four children. She loved camping at Jo-Mary and her summers on Cedar Lake at their camp. She loved to swim, play games, read books, crochet, knitting and having coffee with her friends. She loved her trips to the slots, and will be remembered crocheting and knitting while watching the Red Sox. She loved her church and following her grandchildren's events, but Maria's greatest joy was having her family around and cooking for them. She loved to rock her grandbabies and to have everyone in her home for the holidays.
Maria is survived by her husband, George "Pat" Lynch; her daughter, Nancy (Lynch) Perkins; her son, Frederick Lynch and his wife, Kelly; son, Gregory Lynch; six grandchildren, Jaimie Assignon and husband-to-be, Don Marquis, Jason Tapley, Tyler Lynch, Chelsea Lynch, Jessica Jourdain and husband, Joe, William Lynch and partner, Nicole Requera; five great-grandchildren, Oceana, Spencer, Cooper, Cameron and Evan; brother, Fred Boyer and wife, Jane; sister, Helen Owens; brother-in-law, James Lynch and his wife, Suzanne; several special aunts, cousins, neighbors and friends. She loved camping at Jo-Mary and her summers on Cedar Lake at their camp. She loved to swim, play games, read books, crochet, knitting and having coffee with her friends. She loved her trips to the slots, and will be remembered crocheting and knitting while watching the Red Sox. She loved her church and following her grandchildren's events, but Maria's greatest joy was having her family around and cooking for them. She loved to rock her grandbabies and to have everyone in her home for the holidays.
Maria is survived by her husband, George "Pat" Lynch; her daughter, Nancy (Lynch) Perkins; her son, Frederick Lynch and his wife, Kelly; son, Gregory Lynch; six grandchildren, Jaimie Assignon and husband-to-be, Don Marquis, Jason Tapley, Tyler Lynch, Chelsea Lynch, Jessica Jourdain and husband, Joe, William Lynch and partner, Nicole Requera; five great-grandchildren, Oceana, Spencer, Cooper, Cameron and Evan; brother, Fred Boyer and wife, Jane; sister, Helen Owens; brother-in-law, James Lynch and his wife, Suzanne; several special aunts, cousins, neighbors and friends. In addition to her parents, Lloyd and Elvira Boyer, Maria was predeceased by her son, Steven; and her sister, Nancy Boyer.

date not given; he was a veteran of W.W. I; lived in Bristol for nearly 50 years; went to
B.C. in 1944 to live with his daughter, Hazel; remains brought back to Bristol for burial
beside his wife Inez, who predeceased him in 1943; there were 11 children (but only 7
named in his obituary).
Betty Berthelet told me that her grandfather, John V. Shaw, was a labourer, a soldier and a
carpenter. Her grandmother, Inez Shaw, was an excellent homemaker. They both died in
Beaton, B.C., and were buried in Bristol, N.B.
A gravestone in the Free Will Baptist Cemetery in Bristol, Carleton Co., N.B., is
inscribed: John V. Shaw, 1873-1963; Inez D., his wife, 1878-1943.

Edward Hartly Boyington was born in 1853, the son of Hartly Boyington and
his second wife, Abigail Snow. Edward Hartly Boyington was the father of
six children, Bertha, Lillian, Elizabeth, Flora, Edward and Ernest Porter
Boyington. He married Ella Lufkin in 1878 in Penobscot, ME during a
civil ceremony. He lived in Winterport, ME during the time of the birth
of Edward and moved to Newburgh, whereErnest was born, but little else
is known about him at this time. In the 1880-1890's he worked for the
Boston Tea Company.

He was born in Winterport, ME, but lived most of his life in the Boston,
MA area. What little is known about him was related to me by my mother

Jennie Gillis raised her six children after her husband died. She was
very active in local politics, and active with the Republican Party.
Roger remembers his grandmother as being very opinionated about many
things, and not shy in expressing her opinions. She was pleasant, and
always willing to share a cup of tea with her grandchildren, and cookies
with her greatgrandchildren. Jennie had a severe stroke during a major
snowstorm in 1978, and suffered the effects of that stroke for the rest
of her life. She died during the Christmas Holidays in 1981.

Edward Hartly Boyington was born in 1853, the son of Hartly Boyington and
his second wife, Abigail Snow. Edward Hartly Boyington was the father of
six children, Bertha, Lillian, Elizabeth, Flora, Edward and Ernest Porter
Boyington. He married Ella Lufkin in 1878 in Penobscot, ME during a
civil ceremony. He lived in Winterport, ME during the time of the birth
of Edward and moved to Newburgh, whereErnest was born, but little else
is known about him at this time. In the 1880-1890's he worked for the
Boston Tea Company.
